Flexible Space B8 House
by 56.02.

Introduction of the House
56.02 Architects designed the B8 House located in an area characterized for strong winds that run through the pacific coast.
From the architect:
All the “wet” areas and the BBQ are condensed in a one wall that runs through the entire south facade, this decision helped to create more flexible spaces.
All the “wet” areas and the BBQ are condensed in a one wall that runs through the entire south facade, this decision helped to create more flexible spaces.
One of the main goals was to expand the constructed area, without increasing the original budget assigned to the house, to the related activities and situations that would be developed considering the owners life style. In order to achieve this, an articulating interior patio was proposed with the same dimensions of the standard module that is used in the house entry. This operation allowed the formation of an open outdoors space, protected from the wind and also a terrace, located with the same orientation as the mentioned outdoors space, towards the exterior.
To divide the different spaces, the boundary material selected was sliding glass panels. This sliding operation allows to create different spaces, in addition to that, the onsite furniture plus the non existence of partition walls, results in a house where the divisions and subdivisions are only applied trough these glass panels and furniture.
Progression

1. Draw the exterior of the House using Google sketch up.
2. First, import the ' Cad file' into the sketch up with the right scale.
3. Create ' Layers' before starting to draw ( to make my life easier)
4. Reason why use layering is we can hide the specific layers that block your vision.
5. Trace the plan using ' Line' tool or ' Rectangle' tool.
6. ' Push' the area up to form the thickness of the floor. (Under Floor Layer)
7. Then, draw the ' Wall' using the same way like how i used to draw the floor. ( Under Wall Layer)
8. Draw the roof plan using the floor plan, because the House have FLAT roof. (under Roof Layer). Draw the lines where the skylight locating and 'Push' the area out until there is a empty area there.
9. Draw the ' Contour' using the the elevations. ( Under Contour Layer)
10. Also use the elevations to know where are the columns that's under the House.
11. ' Hide' the LAYERS that block me from drawing the columns under the House.
Finally i got the Exterior of the House.

12. To ' Erase' the unnecessary Lines, I have selected the ' Windows' - ' Soft Edges' to adjust the appearance of the Lines on my drawings.
D-O-N-E the exterior.
Now, going to do the interior by using 3Ds MAX !

Progression
- Get the drawings from internet. Example: www.ArchDaily.com
- Put all the drawings into ' Photoshop', to arrange all the drawing in a right proportion.
- Reason why to arrange the drawings in ' Photoshop' is to prevent inconvenience cause like the drawings all does not match after re-scale in ' AutoCad'.
- Trace the drawings in 1 to 1scale using ' AutoCad'.
